Supporting you to find a way through
Counselling and Psychotherapy
with Morag Barker
Thank you for visiting my website. However you are feeling today my hope is that you will find the following pages helpful as you consider your options moving forward.
I love this quote from Charlie Mackesy’s book, ‘The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse’ – it encourages me to be real and to reach out to others when I need it. Life was never meant to be navigated alone. If you are looking for some support and help at this time, I would love to encourage you to be brave! As you take your time exploring my website, I hope that you will get enough of a sense of me and the way that I work, to feel safe enough to reach out and say, “help”.

Welcome. I really look forward to hearing from you.
I AM CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS AND OFFER BOTH IN-PERSON AND ONLINE SESSIONS
“What is the bravest thing you ever said?” asked the boy.
“Help”, said the horse...
"Sometimes we know where we want to be, we just don’t know how to get there.”

Perhaps you have a clear sense of what you are struggling with, but just don’t know how to move forward:
You feel anxious and worried, caught in a spiral of negative thinking, unable to relax.

You feel numb, weighed down by heavy, dark feelings you can’t shake off.

You feel frustrated, caught in the trap of pleasing others and don’t know how to say “no”.
You feel lonely, seeking intimacy with others but struggle to make relationships work.

You feel sad and broken from loss and are struggling to know how to face your future.

You feel stuck, unable to move forward from past traumatic events in your life.
You feel disillusioned and disappointed by life and are struggling with faith issues.

You feel confused and have no idea why you are feeling the way you that you do, you just know that ‘something’s not right’.
